Mercedez is an El Paso native with over a decade of hands-on experience behind the chair. She holds her cosmetology license and worked for Joico as an advisor before pursuing her desire to run her own beauty salon and expand her styling horizons. Her specialties and passions include everything hair styling and cutting. She believes that hair can impact real change in a person’s life and color can be an agent of personal transformation and freedom.
Nathan:
Nathan is from El Paso and was an educator before deciding to pursue his passion for styling and hair. Nathan has a decade of experience behind the chair and specializes in haircuts like pixie cuts and other styles for men and women. He’s also proficient in the art of hair coloring with a meticulous attention to detail and a keen eye for fashion and nuance.
Genesis:
Genesis is an energetic and creative junior stylist with a passion for all things fashion and for the ever-evolving arena of hairstyle and color. She has a wide range of talents including modern haircuts and contemporary makeup styles.
Our Salon’s History
Comb initially began as Polish Artistry, a nail salon. As we evolved we became interested in the endless possibilities of hair styling and soon embarked on a conversion to a full beauty salon. We wanted to focus our efforts on hair and other novelty services like makeup and facial waxing. Comb stylists are interested in the transformative power of hair and color. There are so many factors that go into this field and so Polish Artistry slowly phased out nail services and became Comb beauty salon—a fusion of health and beauty and an environment that values color as a tool for self-expression.

While hair and makeup can be perceived as a mere accessory, we believe that a true beauty salon goes deeper than that. Our outward appearance is often a reflection of our emotions and state of mind.
